The Garden Project is a new initiative at the centre that aims to regenerate our gardens and provide a more aesthetic and secure environment for our children.

Using plants native to Callan Park, the Leichhardt Council biodiversity and bushcare team are providing us with advice as to which plants we should plant in which areas in order to achieve our desired results. 

Our plants (which have also been donated by Leichhardt Council) are seedlings that have been propagated at the Rozelle Bay Community Native Nursery using seeds from trees within the park itself.

While this is an ongoing project, the first areas to be planted will be along the wall in the entrance to the centre and around the Dolphin’s fence.  Other areas will follow throughout the year.
